HIFU Facial

The Non-Surgical Alternative to a Facelift

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), also known as the ‘Non-Surgical Facelift’, the ‘Lunchtime Facelift’ or simply ‘Focus Dual’, has become one of the most in-demand lifting, firming and tightening ‘tweakments’ for the face and neck. Focused Ultrasound targets the deep structural layers of the skin with controlled heat, without damaging the skin’s surface.

Focus Dual HIFU is one of the few treatments that can reach the Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System (SMAS), previously accessible only with surgery. The result is a natural lift with virtually no downtime. Heat generated beneath the skin stimulates the production of strong, new collagen and kick-starts dormant collagen.

Collagen & elastin production increases over the 12 weeks post treatment, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed look.

The Link Between Collagen and Skin Health

Collagen is a natural protein that promotes skin suppleness, firmness, hydration and radiance. The natural production of collagen declines as we age, starting as early as our mid-20’s and then more rapidly from our 40’s onwards. A HIFU Facial lifts, tightens and firms loose skin to give a more rested and youthful appearance.

The Focus Dual HIFU can target the face, brow, neck and jawline. Areas such as the hands, chest, and other parts of the body can also be treated.

This treatment will not only give skin back its snap, but it will also naturally kick-start the production of collagen and elastin to reduce signs of ageing.

Frequently Ask Questions About Focus Dual

Skin Laxity HIFU 1 Treatment

How does a HIFU facial treatment work?

This non-surgical ‘facelift’ targets the relevant layers of your skin to address your particular concerns. Where appropriate, this targets the SMAS layer (see above) deep below the skin, which is the area surgeons tighten for face and neck lifts. A non-invasive and highly effective treatment, the Focus Dual HIFU harnesses ultrasound technology to radiate energy beneath the skin for a tightening, lifting and plumping effect.

What does the treatment feel like?

Potential sensations during treatment include mild heat or a slight tingling. Clients describe this as moderate and acceptable.

How many sessions will I need?

Sessions are carried out every 4-6 weeks. Typically between 1 and 3 treatments are recommended for best results. Top-up treatments are performed as required, but usually only once or twice a year.

How soon will I see results?

An immediate improvement can usually be seen after treatment, but the results constantly improve up to 12 weeks post treatment as your collagen is renewed.

We expect results to last 1-2 years, but this can be dependent on lifestyle and maintenance.

How much downtime is there after a HIFU treatment?

There is virtually no downtime, thanks to the non-invasive nature of HIFU. You may see slight redness following the treatment, and a small number of clients experience minor swelling, tingling or tenderness. These symptoms are mild and temporary.

You will be able to return to normal activities straight after treatment, and there are no special recovery measures needed (other than the simple after care advice such as not exposing the treated area to any heat for 48 hours). This is why HIFU has earned the name “lunchtime facelift”.
